The Prize Draw (if applicable)
For those teams who don’t finish in the prize-winning positions at the end of the season, we will hold a prize draw.
For each race, the team that scores the most points over the race weekend is recorded. Those entrants will be entered into a prize draw at the end of the season (excluding teams already in prize-paying positions) and a winner will be chosen at random.
The rules
- Your team must be equal to or lower than the budget set at the beginning of each season (currently 200 million)
- For your team, you must pick at least 4 drivers (maximum 7) and a constructor. You cannot choose the same driver more than once
- If your driver is still in a car on the f1 grid, then you will continue to receive their points (regardless of team)
- If for any reason your driver has withdrawn from the team or a race and is not on the f1 grid, you will receive points from any replacement driver until such times that they return to the grid
- When you back a driver, you are backing that driver’s race seat in their current team. If they move seat, or are replaced for any reason you will continue to score points for whichever driver replaces them in that race seat
- In the event of a tie at the end of the season, we will award the team with the lowest amount spent on their team the higher placement. If the teams were of equal cost, we will count back on ‘individual race wins’ whereby a competitors submitted team has won the most points for an individual weekend. The person who has won the most weekends, will take the higher position. In the event of a subsequent tie, the team with the most ‘drivers of the day’ will win
- Bonus points do not apply to sprint races
- We will follow FIA scoring for incomplete races (for example, if the FIA awards no points, we will award no points. If they award half points, we will halve the points awarded for that event etc…
- Each season can throw up unexpected scenarios. If such a scenario does arrive, we may engage the community of players to guide any decision, but ultimately the final decision will come down to James and Luke
- Any prize money will be held by a third party – in this case collectiv.com. James and Luke will not be held accountable for any financial failure by collectiv.com
- Any fees incurred as a result of running the fantasy f1 league will be taken from the overall prize pot.
